Snowboarding The Shaun Way

in

So the Wii Fit balance board story did not come to an end with the Wii Fit console as it is. The Ubisoft is out with ‘Shaun White Snowboarding’, and is seemingly a bit too desperate to get its baby off its shelf, and while it does so, you can make the most of your Balance Board.

Master Your Beat

Just in case you weren’t yet filled with everything wireless and Wii, there is certainly more in the offering. Welcome Taiko Drum Master. Colloquially called the Taiko no Tatsujin, the game has its controller flashing away at the floors of the Tokyo game show.

Designed for arcade style gaming, the drum is a R&D from Namco. Though we are yet to see the device in its packaging, it’s a minor heartbreak to have the device without its promised Taiko themed stand. While it maybe a turn-on to know that the drum is wireless its self, and connects to the console through the classic Wiimote.

Nintendo MMO?

in

It's never looked like the massive multiplayer games could survive on a gaming console. There's something about a PC lends itself to all the hotkeys and such. Or, maybe that's just antiquated thinking. EA is looking toward the future of the Wii, and they believe it could be an MMO.

Canadian SSBB Deal

Who can hate Canadians? They're our neighbors to the north, nice folks with decent beer and a really cute way of saying words like "sorry" and "about". Their coins are a little annoying, the way they always end up in American pockets at the exact time we're trying to buy a candy bar. Oh, and they also get a great Wii game for a cheaper price.

Dr. Mario Demo

in

You never see Nintendo demos, especially for Wii games. That's what makes the news of a Dr. Mario & Germ Buster demo so cool. What makes it a lot less cool is that it's only available right now to gamers in Europe and Australia.

I may be one of the few 80s babies who just can't stand Ted Nugent. The bow-hunting, the chauvinism, the...do I need to keep listing this man's ridiculous flaws? Nah. The one great thing about Ted Nugent is that the man can (or could) play the daylights out of a guitar and it seems like Harmonix agrees.

Okami Deal

in

Although the critics have fallen in love with the amazing highly stylized Okami, it's been having a rougher time catching on with the buying public. It looks like it could be falling victim to the same dismal fate as a number of games that have been ported over to the Wii from other consoles. Here's where you come in.

Amazon's stripping $10 off their copies of Okami, knocking the price down from $39.99 to $29.99. If that's not enough, they're offering free shipping for the game as well. This is your opportunity to get your hands on a memorable Wii title without breaking the bank.

Wii Deal

in

There have been all sorts of deals for Wii games this past week, so we might as well share them while they're still hot. We've got three titles this time, all games that should have done better but somehow fell through the cracks. Between Steven Spielberg (Indiana Jones, everything else you ever loved about going to the movies) and the Wachowski brothers (Matrix Trilogy), you'd figure there would be a surefire hit in here somewhere.

World Record

in

Only in today's high-tech era can someone become famous for playing a video game. We've seen the rise of films such as King of Kong, documenting the trials and tribulations of being the world record holder at Donkey Kong. Now, the focus is on a new phenomenon in gaming that is being taken just as seriously.

Miyamoto on WiiWare

in

WiiWare has launched. After all the confetti and streamers were cleaned up, after the online fanfare, the celebration hangover has set in. The number one question on the tongues of everyone after the launch of Nintendo's new online game service for the Nintendo Wii? Where are all the Nintendo games?
