Every market has its experts. For video games, it's Michael Pachter. Pachter has made a number of sales predictions for consoles, especially the Wii. He has now announced his vision of what the sales figures are going to look like for the Wii in the month of March.
Pachter's number is around 700,000 units, and he attributes a great deal of those sales to the popularity of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Although Nintendo continues to ship more consoles to Europe (as opposed to the U.S.), March is expected to have deviated from the norm. Pachter expects an increase over these figures for the April sales period, which will see the debut of Mario Kart Wii. Looks like a good year for Nintendo so far.
