The Nintendo Wii has enjoyed quite the time at the top of the console sales heap for a while now. When Halo 3 was released, there was a significant moment that saw Nintendo surrender that top spot, only to regain it. Michael Pachter, the gaming industry oracle, has come down from the mountaintop with his latest predictions.
Pachter makes it clear that Grand Theft Auto IV will not be able to take down the Goliath that is the Wii. Due to the major games of the past couple of months (Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii), the Wii is predicted to sell another 600,000 units in April. The NPD numbers should be out now, so we'll see.
