It's never looked like the massive multiplayer games could survive on a gaming console. There's something about a PC lends itself to all the hotkeys and such. Or, maybe that's just antiquated thinking. EA is looking toward the future of the Wii, and they believe it could be an MMO.
EA Mythic's Paul Barnett says "It's very hard [...] when almost everyone has only ever played one of these games and it dominates their thinking." The game in question, of course, is World of Warcraft, but Barnett also says "I think the best chance of someone doing [the first successful console MMO] is Nintendo." Hopefully Nintendo gets on board with this soon.
