It's pretty evident that Wii Fit is popular with the population of every country it's been released in. What's a little astonishing is how popular it's become on Nintendo's home court of Japan. It's been revealed that there have been two million copies of the game sold in a country that has purchased six million consoles. Wow.
To do the simple arithmetic, one in every three Japanese Wii owners has Wii Fit. There are just about as many owners of Wii Fit in the country as there are owners of the PS3. Wii Sports is still ahead of the title in Japan, having sold almost three million copies. At this rate, though, Wii Fit is going to overcome its sibling pretty soon.
