Free Shooter

in

Remember Epic MegaGames? They were the people who brought you neat shareware PC titles like Jazz Jackrabbit and Jill of the Jungle in the mid 90's. Thanks to a homebrewer that goes by the name nuvalo, one of Epic MegaGames' scrolling shooters is available for the Wii.

DD On The VC

in

Like so many other gamers, you almost choked on your lunch when you heard that River City Ransom was going to be released on the Virtual Console. The side scrolling beat-em-up title was possibly the best of its kind for the NES and has kept quite a following in the modern gaming era. The only game that compared was the legendary release that hit the VC this past week - Double Dragon.

Save Paper On Paper Mario

in

One of the great things about the Wii is that it can also play GameCube games, giving you a chance to get into some earlier games that you may have missed out on. If you've been playing Super Paper Mario, you may want to take that trip back in time and snag Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Why? Because it's on sale.

Amazon's got their limited supply of the game that won Console Role Playing Game of the Year from the Interactive Achievement Awards a few years ago, and the copies are running out. The price has been dropped from $19.99 to $11.99, so hurry up before they're all out.

No More Heroes Deal

in

No More Heroes is one of those games that burn so brightly in the hearts and minds of critics, but loses out with the fans. They either don't care, don't get it, or they haven't heard of it. The developers at Suda 51 get a chance to see their beloved game revived now that Amazon has given it a serious price cut.

Free Wii Wheels?

in

The Wii Wheel has been gaining some positive buzz now that the news has hit that it will be $10 instead of $15. I know it doesn't seem like much of a price issue but when you factor in buying 3 more in addition to the one that comes with Mario Kart Wii, there's some substantial savings. Now UK Wii owners have a chance to get an even bigger discount.

Sega Tennis Deal

in

There were a good deal of expectations for the sales performance of Sega Superstars Tennis. With video game stars like Sonic the Hedgehog anchoring the title, no one could have foreseen how quickly it has bombed in the past months. Good thing is that Sega's loss is your gain.

GameStop has drastically cut the price on this release and it's now available for as low as $19.99! If you go to your local GameStop, you can save on shipping. If you're kinda lazy like I am, you order online and pay the shipping with the satisfaction of knowing you're still saving money.

Rock Star Fashion

in

You love Guitar Hero III. You'd wear a GH III t-shirt to work if you'd thought your boss would slap you a high-five instead of writing you up. Well now there's a little bit of Guitar Hero that you can bring into your workplace wardrobe without getting in trouble.

Zazzle's selling a black tie with the imprinted with the Guitar Hero fretboard . If you're a daring non-cornformist who wants to rock at work, this baby will set you back $29.99. Go on over to Zazzle.com before supplies run out.

Battalion War Deal

in

That Battalion Wars 2 is a pretty fun title with its cartoonish characters and sharp (for the Wii) graphics. It's got great local multiplayer, which is great for increasing all the shooting and blowing up of things. It's also available at Gamefly for kinda cheap.

Gamefly's got used copies of Battalion Wars 2 for the Wii for only $29.99. The game's got online play, so you can jump into the fray and match your war games skills against the best players out there. And remember, Gamefly's used games are clean. They actually look like new!

Circuit City Bundles

in

Everyone's got their bundles for the Wii. Buy this, get two of these thrown in for an extra couple of bucks, yadda-yadda. Circuit City is taking the cake, however, with their new Wii bundle package.

Buyers receive an extra Wiimote/nunchuk setup and a choice of four games from a pretty short (six) but solid list of games. If you like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Tiger Woods 2008, Carnival Games, Wii Play, or Mario Party 8, then maybe this is for you. Just remember that the entire package runs for $550.

Zack & Wiki For Cheap

in

It's no news that Capcom is rewarding random S. Koreab buyers of Zack & Wiki with pearl necklaces. It was a little disheartening for those of us in the states who felt left out of the party, but don't fret. GameStop's dropping the price for the game!

January saw Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure go from $39.99 to $29.99. GameStop is now offering the title for $19.99 online and in retail stores. We hope that this price drop is a sign of good will toward fans and not of the game under performing. Either way, it's a great deal for Wii owners.
