Canadian SSBB Deal

in

Who can hate Canadians? They're our neighbors to the north, nice folks with decent beer and a really cute way of saying words like "sorry" and "about". Their coins are a little annoying, the way they always end up in American pockets at the exact time we're trying to buy a candy bar. Oh, and they also get a great Wii game for a cheaper price.

Okami Deal

in

Although the critics have fallen in love with the amazing highly stylized Okami, it's been having a rougher time catching on with the buying public. It looks like it could be falling victim to the same dismal fate as a number of games that have been ported over to the Wii from other consoles. Here's where you come in.

Amazon's stripping $10 off their copies of Okami, knocking the price down from $39.99 to $29.99. If that's not enough, they're offering free shipping for the game as well. This is your opportunity to get your hands on a memorable Wii title without breaking the bank.

Wii Deal

in

There have been all sorts of deals for Wii games this past week, so we might as well share them while they're still hot. We've got three titles this time, all games that should have done better but somehow fell through the cracks. Between Steven Spielberg (Indiana Jones, everything else you ever loved about going to the movies) and the Wachowski brothers (Matrix Trilogy), you'd figure there would be a surefire hit in here somewhere.

Japanese VC Roundup

in

It's become quite obvious to the numerous fans of the Virtual Console that the platform has been pushed to the side, hopefully for the time being, in favor of WiiWare. We understand that they've got to cultivate the new platform in the weeks following its U.S. launch, but there are some cool games that are coming out on the VC. They're just not being released on the U.S. version of the Virtual Console.

GameFly Deal

in

The Wii bargains just keep on coming, don't they? This week, the deals are emanating from GameFly's site, but some of them are up on the 19th, so you'll have to dig around for the leftovers. While the games at GameFly are used, they're in great condition.

Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is available for only $14.99. The prices het a little higher with Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption selling for $29.99. In between those two ends of the pricing spectrum are NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams at $17.99 and Battalion Wars 2 tipping the scales at $27.99. Enjoy!

Japanese Blocks

in

Poor Japan. The country's WiiWare platform is not exactly shaping up to be a bonanza of titles for the Japanese Wii audience. Weeks go by between releases, leaving fans scratching their heads as to why WiiWare was supposed to be so special in the first place. The drought is over (kinda) this week with the release of Block Breaker Deluxe.

Power Outage

Wii Fit's Balance Board has been gaining a life of its own these days. The list of upcoming games that will support the peripheral is growing by the day, and along with this newfound success comes accessories for the accessories. Stepping up to bat is Nyko and the Balance Board battery pack.

Wii Fit Madness

in

I can't wait until the end of May so that we can witness the slowdown of the Wii Fit buzz. It's been reported that Amazon has run out of their alloted pre-orders, so they're not taking any more money from customers for the game. Well, now word is coming that they're not alone and are about to find some company from other gaming retail giants.

Circuit City Deal

in

Usually the best Wii game deals belong to Amazon, hands down. Every so often, Wal-Mart jumps into the fray and offers some midnight sale that you just can't pass up. This week, Circuit City's looking to get more exposure as a place to pick up good Wii deals with a sale that's nothing to sneeze at.

Namco Bandai's WiiWare DLC

in

The Japanese puzzle game Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan provides a pretty crazy experience. For those who play the game, things have just gotten better with the WiiWare release of new DLC (downloadable content). The Wii Shop now has a package for the title that includes 30 more puzzles and music to accompany each of them.
