Poor Japan. The country's WiiWare platform is not exactly shaping up to be a bonanza of titles for the Japanese Wii audience. Weeks go by between releases, leaving fans scratching their heads as to why WiiWare was supposed to be so special in the first place. The drought is over (kinda) this week with the release of Block Breaker Deluxe.
The Arkanoid-style game is running for 800 Wii Points on Japan's WiiWare, which is good and bad. The good is that another game is available for purchase, but the bad is that it's inspired by a cell phone game that was a knockoff of an 80s arcade game. All in all, it's still a solid game concept that should make its way onto the U.S. WiiWare around launch time.
